The Beyond Science program's annual Connecting the dots symposium includes a research competition celebrating the most innovative and impactful health technology research in NSW. This year the symposium is being run along side RACS NSW innovation roundtable, where experts from across the health sector will be present, including funding bodies.

Shortlisted abstracts are given the opportunity to compete for prizes as well as show case their research to and network with key decision makers in the Med Tech sector. Further, they will be offered an exciting 12 month opportunity for mentorship assisting them to improve impact, strategize for future funding and explore career development opportunities

To be eligible, projects should involve research into an aspect of health technology and also demonstrate collaboration with 2 or more disciplines Abstracts will be scored on articulation of clinical need, innovation and impact.  Abstract submission deadline in November 7th, 2025
